The farmers who had lived and worked on the land for generations now found themselves without a livelihood, their way of life destroyed. Their only option was to work as a wage slave for the corporation.

When they fought back it was called a rebellion, a revolution, a civil war. The USA newspapers talked of coups and internal discord. But it was theft. Genocide.

And the American taxpayer took the fall for it all. They provided the guns, the money, the training and leadership.

United Fruit changed their name to Chiquita. Standard Fruit changed their name to Dole.

Petrochemical and military industries jumped on the bandwagon, and the CIA blueprint for grand theft of entire cultures has been repeated again and again around the world.
